We're building a better community
Everyone at 5NINES is passionate about building a stronger Madison community. Our employees volunteer and work with several local businesses and community organizations to bring customized technology solutions ranging from provisioning hardware to high quality streaming media solutions. Here are a few examples of what we've been up to lately:
Badger Childhood Cancer Network

FIRST is a not-for-profit organization devoted to helping young people discover and develop a passion for science, engineering, technology, and math. Founded over 20 years ago by inventor Dean Kamen, the 2011-2012 FIRST season attracted close to 300,000 youth and more than 100,000 Mentors, Coaches, and Volunteers from 60+ countries. The annual programs culminate in an international robotics competition and celebration where teams win recognition, gain self-confidence, develop people and life skills, make new friends, and perhaps discover an unforeseen career path. 5NINES has been involved with FIRST the past few years. 5NINES’ employees have served as judged for the regional competition in Milwaukee, WI. Starting in 2012 5NINES has provided live streaming of the Regional Event. To learn more visit, http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc

MEDIAWORKS audio-visual arts for youth
MEDIAWORKS at Goodman Community Center is a program that provides a creative audio-visual learning experience for kids grades 4-12. The program is directed by Kathleen Ward and staffed by a core group of volunteers who bring their creative expertise and a love of teaching. MW believes every child has a voice worth hearing, needs mentors, and can develop skills to do high–quality creative work in the world. When kids are encouraged to tell their stories, empowered to investigate the stories of others, and have the skills to do good work, everyone benefits. 5NINES has been involved with the program since its inception. We provide the servers, supporting equipment, and technical support to keep the program running efficiently. We are committed to providing on-going support to this important program.
