Justin McGuire

Director, Systems & Hosting

 

Justin McGuire joined 5NINES in 2007 as a technical specialist while completing his degree in sculpture at UW-Madison. He quickly proved himself invaluable to both customers and team members for his technical knowledge, understanding of complex networks and hosting systems and his ability to resolve issues. Internally, McGuire has been instrumental in engineering the Cloud and hosting infrastructure used by 5NINES. His key skills include: Systems Administration, Networking, Hosting, Email, Backups and Virtualization. In 2011, he became a member of the company.

Justin began working with computers at age 8 (Commodore 64) and has loved them ever since. During his teenage years he played with the minimax algorithm and C++ programming language which turned into developing and marketing a successful checkers program at age 15. Justin is always the first to offer help, the first to find a good solution and has the best “can-do” attitude – “You give me a problem, I’ll fix it”. Additional interests include music and film.
